The worlds first unmanned electric truck, which was manufactured by SINOTRUK, was put into trial operation in Tianjin Port. The HOWO-T5G, equipped with Beidou Positioning System, laser radar, millimeter wave radar, camera and other apparatuses, can drive 120km at full load with charging time less than one hour.
On Sep 1, 2018, Comrade Tan Xuguang assumed the office of Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Board of China Heavy-duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. From then, SINOTRUK entered into a new stage of development.
SINOTRUK launched the new-generation HDT brand Yellow River. Equipped with low wind resistance trailers, the wind resistance coefficient (Cd) of the model reaches 0.37, 30% lower than the mainstream products in the industry, far ahead of trucks sold at home and abroad. At the same time, the trunk logistics tractor of the Yellow River has Level 2 intelligent driving. The Level 3 unmanned system interface is reserved, which can meet the needs of Level 3 unmanned driving function expansion in the future.
