Wang Zhijian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, as well as Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Sinotruk, attended the event along with Ye Jianjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and Tai Xuecheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Sinotruk.
At 9:00 AM on October 23, with the opening command and a resounding cheer of 'One Family, One Heart, Work Together, Surely Succeed', the tournament officially began. More than 200 participants in neat formation swiftly moved to their respective courts to commence their matches. The games showcased a full array of skillful techniques including smashes, chops, drives, flicks, and dives, while doubles matches demonstrated well-coordinated tactics such as court positioning, net rushing, covering, and defensive support. The spectacular matches drew enthusiastic cheers and applause from spectators. The tournament attracted over 220 athletes from 37 teams, with participants ranging from 22 to 58 years old, setting new records for the number of participating units, contestants, and age range.
The tournament received unanimous praise from employees. Many participants expressed their appreciation for the series of cultural and sports activities organized by the group, noting that these events provided a platform for self- and offered effective relief from intense work schedules.
