Shandong Heavy Industry Group Hosts Global Virtual New Year Celebration and Overseas Employee Appreciation Event

On January 27, the day before Chinese New Year's Eve, Shandong Heavy Industry Group held a global virtual New Year celebration and appreciation event. Party Secretary and Chairman Man Shengang, along with the leadership teams of the group and its subsidiaries, connected via video conference with overseas employees, extending sincere greetings and New Year blessings to those working on the front lines of international markets and stationed at overseas subsidiaries.

Man Shengang remarked that 2024 had been an extraordinary, highly challenging year for Shandong Heavy Industry Group. Amidst a complex global economic landscape and intensifying industry competition, the company seized opportunities in adversity, advanced against difficulties, and achieved record-breaking international business performance. Product exports generated revenue of RMB 92.13 billion, a 12.4% year-on-year increase, with overseas profits contributing an increasingly significant share. The revenue of Group’s overseas enterprises reached RMB 109 billion, maintaining steady growth, with total profits of RMB 4.58 billion, up 31% year-on-year. He acknowledged the dedication of overseas employees who, despite being far from their homeland, headquarters, and families, overcame numerous challenges, mitigated risks, and made tremendous efforts to achieve outstanding results. Looking ahead, he encouraged overseas teams to uphold the spirit of innovation, perseverance, and dedication, accelerate global market expansion, enhance business synergies, drive progress through heritage and innovation, and continuously advance high-quality development. He called for sustained efforts to strengthen, optimize, and expand the company, making lasting contributions to the economic and social development of Shandong Province.

Representatives from Weichai Group’s UAE office, Sinotruk’s Kenya office, Shantui’s Middle East company, Weichai Lovol’s Bangladesh office, Zhongtong Bus’s Uzbekistan office, and Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile’s Indonesia office, along with SHIG personnel stationed at KION, Linde Hydraulics, Ferretti, and Baudouin, reported on their local operations. Overseas employees expressed their commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities, demonstrating strong accountability, and taking proactive measures to ensure a successful start to the year. They pledged to drive stable and high-quality growth in Shandong Heavy Industry Group’s international operations and exports, laying a solid foundation for achieving the group’s 2025 annual targets and making further contributions.

More than 900 participants attended the New Year celebration, including Shandong Heavy Industry headquarters executives at the department head level and above, senior management teams from key domestic subsidiaries, leaders conducting overseas market visits, employees from overseas offices, local dealers, customers, and expatriates from overseas subsidiaries. The event was held both online and in person.
