From February 23-25, Man Shengang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, conducted research on export operations in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, held Middle East market special coordination meetings, and visited strategic partners and major customers. On February 23, Man Shengang first visited Shantui's Saudi subsidiary, inspecting the equipment display area, after-sales service center, and parts center warehouse, while meeting with frontline employees. He then chaired a Middle East market coordination meeting, hearing reports on regional business operations from subsidiaries including Weichai Group, Sinotruk, Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile, Shantui, and Zhongtong Bus.
Man Shengang emphasized that the Middle East is a key region in the high-quality joint construction of the 'Belt and Road Initiative' and represents a crucial strategic, growth, and premium market for Shandong Heavy Industry's global development. In 2024, the Group continued to optimize its market layout and build brand matrices, achieving doubled export revenue growth in the Middle East market, with Saudi Arabia becoming the Group's second-largest single-country export market globally. Moving forward, Shandong Heavy Industry must seize strategic opportunities in the Middle East market, maintain steady progress, continuously expand market share, and effectively compete in both traditional stronghold markets and new strategic markets while maintaining rapid growth momentum. On February 24, Man Shengang attended the '20 Years Partnership & 10,000 Vehicles Milestone - Zhongtong Bus & Abusaad Group Strategic Partnership Signing and Award Ceremony,' witnessing the new round of cooperation signing and presenting honorary awards to the client. Abusaad, one of Saudi Arabia's largest passenger transport companies, has purchased over 10,000 Zhongtong vehicles, making it Zhongtong's largest overseas customer. Their twenty-year partnership exemplifies in-depth cooperation between Chinese manufacturing and Middle Eastern markets, and significantly promotes the leading industry advantage of Zhongtong Bus in the Saudi Arabian market.
Later that day, Man Shengang visited SD Company, Sinotruk's largest dealer in Saudi Arabia, and held meetings with dealers and major customer representatives to listen in detail to the opinions and suggestions of marketing channels and customer representatives from different industries. The dealers and customers praised Sinotruk for its deep market understanding, excellent product performance and quality, prompt after-sales service, and maximized lifecycle value, which have led to market leadership and high customer recognition in Saudi Arabia earned with its core competitiveness and brand reputation.
Subsequently, Man Shengang attended the opening ceremony of a 4S store of Fayez Company - Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile' largest dealer in Saudi Arabia. In his speech, Man Shengang stated that the grand opening of the Fayez 4S store marks a milestone in Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile' development in the Saudi market. The 4S store, which integrates sales, service, and parts supply, will provide customers with one-stop solutions and high-level service experience, powerfully promoting sustainable growth for Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile. Shandong Heavy Industry will continue to fully support Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile in expanding overseas markets and establishing the SHACMAN brand in Saudi Arabia and throughout the Middle East region.
On February 24-25, Man Shengang met with various partners including Weichai Engine's Saudi OEM Al-Horaif Company, Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile's Saudi Arabian dealer Rayoum Fara Company, Zhongtong's major Kuwait customer Automak Automotive Company, and OGL Company, the Kuwait dealer for both SinoTruk and Shantui. He emphasized that those who share the same aspirations are not separated by mountains and seas.
