Ahead of International Workers’ Day, Shandong Heavy Industry Group held its 8th Model Worker Commendation Forum. The event focused on studying and implementing the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s keynote speech at the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the National Commendation Conference for Model Workers and Advanced Workers. The forum recognized outstanding model workers from various departments and subsidiaries across the Group, encouraging all employees to learn from, respect, and strive to emulate these role models. It called on everyone to work with greater passion, dedication and commitment to excellence, making new and greater contributions toward the Group’s goal of higher-quality development and building a world-class enterprise. Man Shengang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, attended the forum and delivered a speech. Wang Zhijian, Deputy Party Secretary and President, presided over the meeting, while Ye Jianjun, Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the Labor Union, announced the commendation decisions.

Man Shengang emphasized that model workers must stay true to their mission, honor their achievements, remain authentic and continue striving forward. He urged them to embrace a sense of ownership and responsibility, actively engaging in the journey of building a world-class enterprise and consistently delivering outstanding results. He called on them to courageously fulfill their mission, to be determined dream-chasers who find their place in the Group’s strategic efforts to build a strong nation through advanced equipment manufacturing and technological innovation, achieving remarkable accomplishments and pursuing unique, meaningful careers. Man encouraged them to sharpen their skills and become independent leaders by proactively learning new knowledge, mastering new skills and embracing emerging technologies, striving to be respected, specialized experts in their fields. He urged them to think boldly and act decisively as pioneers of reform and innovation, breaking free from traditional models, overcoming inertia, and moving beyond path dependency, while planning development with forward-looking strategies, a global perspective and sharp insight, forging ahead with determination and innovation. Finally, he encouraged model workers to benchmark against the best, striving to be leaders in the pursuit of excellence, continuously improving and driving progress to achieve new milestones and reach greater heights.
Man Shengang stated that model workers are the pioneers of their time and the Group’s most valuable asset. He called on all Party committees, management teams, labor unions, and affiliated organizations at every level to stay focused on the core mission, support the broader strategy, coordinate effectively and take proactive action, making the cultivation, promotion and celebration of model workers a priority. He emphasized the need to create an environment that nurtures the growth of model workers by leveraging the Group’s global business operations and high-level innovation resources, enabling more hardworking, creative employees to stand out, achieve their dreams, create value and build fulfilling careers at Shandong Heavy Industry. Man underscored the importance of telling the stories of model workers, highlighting new-generation craftsmen in intelligent manufacturing, technological pioneers leading core innovation and strategic transformation, and frontline marketing leaders, especially those working in challenging domestic and international markets. He urged deeper exploration of their achievements and spirit, alongside greater efforts to publicize and promote their stories. Man further emphasized integrating the spirit of model workers into the company’s culture, promoting the principles of “Never falter, always lead, always strive for first” and “One Family, One Heart, One Goal, One Success,” so that “Building careers, Striving, Fulfilling dreams, and Finding Happiness at Shandong Heavy Industry” becomes a shared commitment and the most meaningful promise between the company and its employees.
