Shandong Heavy Industry Group Signed Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Tianjin University

On April 9, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between Shandong Heavy Industry Group and Tianjin University was held in Tianjin. Yang Xianjin, Party Secretary of Tianjin University, met with Wang Zhijian, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and his delegation. Chai Liyuan, President of Tianjin University, attended the meeting and witnessed the signing ceremony.

Both sides stated that the signing represents a concrete measure to implement the national innovation-driven development strategy and support high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and strength. Shandong Heavy Industry Group's industrial portfolio is highly aligned with Tianjin University's academic strengths, and the two sides have already established a solid foundation and broad prospects for cooperation in areas including advanced power systems, new energy, intelligent connected vehicles, and talent development. Looking ahead, both sides will fully leverage their respective strengths, focus on major national strategic needs, strengthen basic research and key technological breakthroughs, promote the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, and foster positive interaction between indigenous innovation and talent cultivation, so as to support high-quality economic and social development and make new contributions to building China into a leading country in education and science and technology and advancing Chinese modernization.

Ma Changhai, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and Wang Tianyou, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Tianjin University, signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides. Under the agreement, the two sides will carry out targeted cooperation in areas including talent cultivation and industry-education integration, joint platform development and system establishment, scientific and technological cooperation and commercialization of research outcomes, business consulting, and resource sharing and support, so as to advance the strategic partnership in a deeper and more substantive manner.

During the visit, the Shandong Heavy Industry Group delegation also toured the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Internal Combustion Engine Technology.
