"Qilu Vocational Education Chain" Initiative on Empowering the Automotive Industry Chain Held at Sinotruk

To fully implement China's national strategy on integrated development of industry and education, promote industrial capability upgrading, and support the effective implementation of Shandong Province's 'No. 1 Project' for the industrial economy, the 'Qilu Vocational Education Chain' initiative on empowering the automotive industry chain through vocational education was successfully held on April 24 at Sinotruk. Chen Bichang, Executive Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Education Work Committee, Party Secretary and Director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Education, and Li Peng, Member of the CPC Shandong Provincial Education Work Committee and Vice Director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Education, attended the event and delivered remarks. Liu Wei, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Sinotruk, delivered a speech. Jiang Pengpeng, Deputy Party Secretary, launched the special initiative 'Industry–Education Integration · Elite Escort Program'.

As the inaugural event of the 'Qilu Vocational Education Chain' series, the activity focused on the upgrading needs of the automotive industry chain and introduced a series of innovative initiatives. On-site, an industry–education supply-demand list and a digital transformation and talent development framework for the automotive industry chain were released. An alliance for cultivating high-skilled talent clusters in the automotive industry chain was also established. These measures aim to shift vocational education cooperation from 'surface-level school–enterprise collaboration' toward deep integration of industry and education, fostering a development model in which talent clusters effectively support industrial clusters.

During the event, leading automotive enterprises including Sinotruk and industry organizations such as China Automotive Technology and Research Center jointly launched a series of model industry–education integration initiatives, including the 'Industry–Education Integration · Elite Escort' program. On-site, agreements were signed for substantive cooperation projects, such as industry–education integration practice centers and order-based training programs for high-skilled talent. These initiatives aim to promote resource sharing, mutual empowerment, and coordinated development between enterprises and educational institutions.

As the 'chain leader' enterprise of Shandong Province's automotive industry chain, Sinotruk has fully leveraged its leading and demonstration role, firmly shouldering the mission of 'taking the lead and making greater contributions.' The Group has continuously advanced industrial upgrading and accelerated the cultivation of high-skilled talent, delivering remarkable results. Through an innovative '1+3' integrated talent development model, over the past three years the Group has recruited more than 3,700 interns from vocational colleges, with 84% coming from institutions within Shandong Province and 43% from Jinan. It has independently trained over 520 skilled craftsmen, assessed and appointed more than 7,500 skilled professionals, and selected over 14,000 enterprise technical experts and 'Golden–Blue Collar' talents, building a solid talent foundation for the high-quality development of the province's automotive industry chain. To date, Sinotruk has been awarded 25 national-level honors, including National Model Worker and Great Craftsman, and 109 provincial-level honors such as Shandong Model Worker and Qilu Great Craftsman, making outstanding contributions to the company's transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development.

Looking ahead, Sinotruk will take this event as a new starting point to further deepen industry–education integration with a higher strategic positioning and more pragmatic measures. The Company will focus on key initiatives such as the co-construction of the Sinotruk Global Marketing Service Training Center and industry–academia joint, order-based talent cultivation programs. Sinotruk will continuously open new chapters in school–enterprise cooperation, promote the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application, and strengthen collaboration across upstream and downstream industrial chains. Through these efforts, the Company aims to cultivate more high-skilled talents, skilled craftsmen, and master craftsmen, contributing wisdom and strength to high-quality development and the building of a strong advanced manufacturing province.

Officials from the Shandong Provincial Department of Education, the Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, together with representatives from more than 50 automotive industry chain enterprises and 80 vocational colleges across the province, attended the event.
