On April 29, Sinotruk successfully convened the 18th Second Session of its Trade Union Members' Congress and Workers' Representatives Congress. Representatives from various fronts and positions across the Group gathered to perform their duties and responsibilities, successfully completing all agenda items of the Congress. The meeting further strengthened strong momentum for the Group's advancement toward world-class development and higher-quality growth. Ye Jianjun, Deputy Party Secretary, Director, and Chairman of the Trade Union of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, attended the meeting to provide guidance. Liu Zhengtao, Party Secretary and Chairman of Sinotruk, delivered a speech. Liu Wei, Deputy Party Secretary and President, read out the commendation decision. The meeting was presided over by Jiang Pengpeng, Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the Trade Union.
Representing the Party Committee of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Ye Jianjun extended warm congratulations on the successful convening of the congress and on the outstanding achievements made by Sinotruk, and expressed sincere gratitude and highest respect to all Sinotruk employees who have worked with dedication across all fronts. Looking ahead to the new journey of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, he expressed the hope that SINOTRUK would continue to raise its political standing, stay true to its mission, strive for excellence, and build a “Great-Power Sinotruk”; uphold innovation-driven development, comprehensively strengthen its core competitiveness, and build a “World-Class Sinotruk”; reinforce Party-building leadership, focus on the Party-building brand of “Red Heart Leadership · China Heavy Equipment,” solidly carry out education on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements, and fully advance the implementation of the “1137” cultural system, thereby building a “Cultural Sinotruk”; and remain people-oriented by further enriching the connotation of “focusing on the front line and growing on the front line” through stronger and more effective measures, so as to build a “Happy Sinotruk.”
In the morning, the 18th Second Session of the Trade Union Members' Congress of Sinotruk opened with the solemn playing of the national anthem. The meeting reviewed and approved the Trade Union Work Report and the Trade Union Financial Audit Report, elected members of the Trade Union Committee, the Financial Audit Committee, and the Women Employees' Committee, and commended the Group's 2025 Outstanding Trade Union Workers, Chief Craftsmen, and Advanced Grassroots Trade Unions. In the afternoon, the 18th Second Session of the Workers' Congress of Sinotruk was convened. The meeting successively reviewed and approved reports on administrative work, financial work, proposal solicitation, and the handling of major matters during the intersession period by the joint meeting mechanism. It also elected members of the special working committees of the Workers' Congress and commended the Group's 2025 Model Workers and Advanced Units.
The meeting pointed out that in 2025, amid a complex and severe domestic and international environment and multiple challenges, all cadres and employees of Sinotruk, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and under the strong leadership of the Party Committee of Shandong Heavy Industry Group and the firm leadership of the Party Committee of Sinotruk, achieved breakthrough results in operating performance, market expansion, Party building, and employee services. The Group not only maintained its leading position in China's heavy-duty truck industry for four consecutive years, but also secured the global heavy-duty truck sales championship for the first time, delivering an outstanding performance for the successful completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan. In the first quarter of this year, the Group maintained strong growth momentum, continued to lead the industry in heavy-duty truck exports and new energy transformation, and reached new highs in operational quality and efficiency.
In the opening year of the '15th Five-Year Plan,' centering on the mission and vision of 'Technology Empowerment, Better Equipment for a Better Life' and 'building a world-class full-range commercial vehicle group,' the meeting emphasized:
♦ Focus on the Group's core businesses and main responsibilities, and steadily advance toward becoming a world-class commercial vehicle enterprise.
♦ Focus on new energy and emerging business formats, and firmly cultivate new growth drivers for high-quality development.
♦ Anchor its global business footprint and continuously enhance the brand influence of Sinotruk.
♦ Put employees at the center of its efforts, build stronger cohesion, and create a happy and harmonious Sinotruk home.
All cadres and employees are encouraged to fully embrace a sense of ownership, take on responsibilities with courage, and press ahead with determination, working together to write a new chapter of high-quality, leapfrog development for Sinotruk. They will also contribute greater strength to Shandong Heavy Industry Group's accelerated transformation into a world-class, technology-leading, green and sustainable multinational high-end equipment group.
