On the first day of the exhibition, SINOTRUK showcased five vehicle models. Among them, the new-generation SITRAK 4×2 battery-electric tractor stood out as a highlight of this year’s exhibition.
Designed in response to the global trend toward the zero-carbon transition of line-haul logistics, the model targets key medium- and long-haul zero-carbon logistics applications and directly addresses major challenges in the electrification of heavy-duty trucks, including range, energy consumption and operational adaptability. Many overseas customers examined the vehicle up close and spoke highly of its real-world performance in terms of long range, low energy consumption and rapid charging, expressing strong recognition of SINOTRUK’s innovative capabilities in battery-electric line-haul heavy-duty trucks.
Weichai Unveils Three Major New Products, Pioneering New Pathways for Green Power
As the Group’s core powertrain business, Weichai Power Co., Ltd. launched three new products at the exhibition—high-end natural gas power solutions, a hydrogen internal combustion engine hybrid powertrain, and a new-generation underfloor battery for heavy-duty trucks—showcasing to the world its comprehensive technology portfolio and strong capabilities spanning the full spectrum from low carbon to zero carbon. At the exhibition, Weichai also joined industry partners in launching the “Europe Zero-Carbon Action Initiative for Co-creating a New Ecosystem for the Green and Intelligent Equipment Industry,” working with industry partners worldwide to build a new zero-carbon industrial ecosystem.
For the European market, Weichai released four NG4.0Pro natural gas power solutions in 13 L, 14 L, 15 L and 16 L variants, covering the full range of application scenarios in combined transport and line-haul logistics and once again demonstrating Weichai’s innovative capabilities and leadership in natural gas power.
Weichai’s new WPH15DI hydrogen internal combustion engine hybrid powertrain adopts a P2 parallel hybrid architecture to achieve close coordination between hydrogen power and electric drive, effectively addressing high energy consumption and limited stability associated with conventional hydrogen power systems, and providing a new pathway for the zero-carbon transition of heavy commercial vehicles and construction machinery.
The new-generation EM300 underfloor battery features energy capacity ranging from 600 to 800 kWh and supports a charging current of 1 200 A. A 20-minute charging session enables four hours of driving, delivering an ideal solution for line-haul logistics and completing the final piece of the puzzle for the broader adoption of battery-electric heavy-duty trucks.
Hande Axle Takes Center Stage, Reinforcing the Foundation of Vehicle Drivetrain Technology
Backed by 17 years of deep expertise in the R&D and manufacturing of electric drive axles, Hande Axle has developed a strong command of the core drivetrain technologies for new energy heavy-duty trucks. Its latest drive axle on display combines high load capacity, high efficiency and high power with a highly integrated design.
The product can be closely coordinated with the vehicle control and power battery systems, effectively reducing driveline energy consumption and improving vehicle range while ensuring structural reliability under a variety of heavy-duty operating conditions. It provides a mature, mass-production-ready integrated drivetrain solution for the large-scale deployment of new energy line-haul heavy-duty trucks and reinforces the drivetrain foundation of Shandong Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd.’s new energy vehicle business.
